From 1.2 million in 1960 to 8.8 million in 2004 the population of greater Jakarta is estimated at 23 million. High density population combined with disorganised urbanisation and a damp tropical climate make visiting jakarta a very chaotic and experience.

Ratu Kidul is the godess of the sea. Every year quiet a few people are taken by the waters,

by Lara Kidul, i dont know if it is just indonesian superstition

or because the sea is quiet rough anyhow it is a very pleasant seaside village.

I took these pictures last january and i post them today to forget about

the snow and cold weather we have today here in canada!
